John Lennon
British singer and musician, founder of the
legendary group The Beatles, a quartet formed in the city of Liverpool with
Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, and has become an indisputable
reference in the history of modern music. John Winston Lennon was born in
Liverpool on October 9, 1940, while Nazi planes bombed the city. Her father,
Alfred, was a sailor who recently visited the home, until it disappeared
completely. Then it was his mother, Julia Stanley, who disappeared, leaving the
child in the care of a sister namedMary. For several years he studied at the School of Fine Arts and at the age
of fifteen doubts resolved between painting and music in favor of the latter.
With Paul formed his first amateur group, The Quarrymen, ushering in a period
of accelerated learning the rhythms of rock and roll. John and Paul set about
composing his own songs as if it were entertainment. Throughout 1959, John
unsuccessfully sought work as an unemployed and lived more. But his vitality,
his youth and his love of music did not lose hope. His songs, published by EMI,
began to surround the bestseller lists. Beatles concerts caused scenes of
hysteria. The "Beatlemania" spread throughout Europe, the United
States and then later go to the world, including socialist countries. group
members were distinguished by a new style of clothing and hair cut and
cheerfully defiant attitude, especially for Lennon starring: in press
conferences and interviews, those boys teased their partners and types
expressed as witty, funny and carefree.
